Ideal for indoor or outdoor growth (climate permitting), this unique plant thrives with minimal Care, adding an appealing touch to any space with its vibrant color and distinctive appearance.
Soil Requirements - To keep the Philodendron Florida Green healthy, Choose well-draining, organic-rich, and lightweight soil. An ideal mix of standard potting soil with equal parts peat moss and perlite is ideal. Adding coco fiber can further improve soil structure, enhancing airiness and moisture retention for this resilient houseplant.
Light Needs – For optimal growth, place the Philodendron plant near an east or west-facing window or about five feet from a south-facing one to receive filtered sunlight. This positioning helps maintain its dark leaf color, while too little light may hinder growth and reduce leaf size.
Watering Schedule - During spring and summer, water once a week, ensuring the top 2-3 inches of soil dry out between waterings. Due to slower growth and reduced water needs, watering should be reduced to every 10-15 days in fall and winter. The Philodendron tropical plant prefers moist but not overly wet soil.
